    We have a current opening for a Parts Inventory Control Clerk. The Parts Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for the accounting of parts inventory purchases and returns within the parts department.

    Responsibilities

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Verify and reconcile parts inventory receiving documentation, packing slips, purchase orders, invoices, etc.
    • Code invoices according to company procedure and input them into the Dealer Business System.
    • Allocate freight charges to customer orders.
    • Process vendor parts returns, warranty parts returns, and credit requests for vendor parts shortages.
    • Monitor and process parts inventory obsolescence and excess inventory returns.
    • Process vendor rebates and coupons.
    • Correspond with vendor representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or non-conformance to specifications.
    • Manage schedules for tracking Parts Return Receivables, Warranty Receivables, and Open Cash Sales Invoices.
    • Manage time effectively and efficiently.  

    Qualifications

    Education and Qualifications

    • Must be at least 18 years old
    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • No experience required
    • Professional personal appearance

    Required Skills:

    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as financial reports, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and technical procedures.
    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and to respond to common inquiries or complaints.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
    • Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
    • Ability to listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences.
    • Proficient computer skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced office setting.
