    Responsibilities

    The Parts Delivery Driver position at CIT Trucks is an entry-level position in the core of the Parts Department with a variety of potential advancement opportunities and room to grow. The duties of a Parts Delivery Driver include:

    • Pull ticket orders for customers on assigned route.
    • Load and offload parts when deliveries are made, double checking orders to ensure accuracy.
    • Take orders from customers at time of delivery as applicable.
    • Build relationships with customers in order to better meet their needs.
    • Communicate effectively with customers.
    • Operate delivery vehicles safely, obey traffic laws, and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
    • Manage time and scheduling effectively and efficiently.
    • Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
    • Pick up orders from vendors on a routine basis.
    • Visually inspect parts for defects. Identify nonconforming or defective components and take appropriate corrective action. 
    • Coordinate with others in the Parts department to troubleshoot as necessary. 
    • Manage time effectively and efficiently.
    • Operate a forklift as necessary.  

     

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will be ambitious, career-driven, and looking to excel within the company. 

     

    • Must be at least 18 years old
    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • No experience required
    • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
    • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 120 pounds
