    • Build and maintain business relationships with vendors, customers, manufactures, and personnel.
    • Assess present and future needs, trends, problems, and profit opportunities.
    • Create and implement a dealership-wide operation plan including budgets, sales, and business plan components.
    • Develop, train, and coach reporting managers on tasks such as selling, customer relations, employee relations, policies, procedures, etc.
    • Manage and lead truck sales efforts and associated personnel.
    • Monitor data, numbers, sales, customer pricing, and quotas within the dealership.
    • Prospect and identify potential customers.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain proper processes in conjunction with the Company and manufactures.
    • Ensure dealership work is performed with efficiency, accuracy, high quality, and following all dealership standards.
    • Coordinate with Marketing to develop merchandising strategies and advertising programs.
    • Maintain appropriate communication within and between all departments within the company.
    • Promote safe work habits and ensure that safety rules are followed.
    • Develop employees and identify career advancement opportunities.
    • Advise direct reports on techniques and approaches through coaching, troubleshooting, or teaching practices.
    • Take corrective action when necessary by issuing credits, speaking with customers, and working with other departments to ensure alternative methods are available for the customers.
    • Maintain expenses, assets, and materials and take action as necessary.
    • Manage time effectively and efficiently.
    • Appraise employee performance through coachings, reviews, and evaluations as appropriate.
    • Collaborate with Human Resources to interview, screen, and hire employees.



    • Minimum of high school education, while a college degree in business administration is preferred. 
    • Previous management experience in the truck dealership industry is preferred.
    • Professional personal appearance and conduct.
    • Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and achieve results through others.
    • Dedication to building long-term employee, customer and vendor relations.
    • Effective and efficient decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication skills in person, on the telephone, and in writing.
    • Ability to read and comprehend management reports and financial information.
    • Working knowledge of and ability to utilize computer equipment and basic software applications (i.e. spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail, business system software, etc.).
    • Ability and initiative to gain sufficient knowledge required to advise customers and CIT Trucks employees regarding truck equipment specifications and engineering of products and components to accurately and effectively meet the customer’s equipment needs and application.
    • Existing knowledge or ability to develop understanding of truck equipment values.
    • Excellent project and program management skills with ability to perform short and long-term planning.
    • Common business sense, reasoning ability, and solid mathematical skills.
    • Strong work ethic and desire to compete and succeed.
    • Commitment to do business honestly and with integrity.
