Responsibilities

As a CIT Trucks HR Generalist you will be responsible for the following:

  • Recruiting and staffing for all Illinois and Missouri locations
  • Participate in career fairs and give presentations
  • Conduct phone screens and interviews with candidates
  • Process background checks and pre-employment physicals/drug screens and assessments
  • Onboard and conduct new hire orientation
  • Assist with Safety training and OSHA compliance
  • Track training courses for employees at all locations
  • Prepare HR Monthly and ad hoc reports
  • Assist employees and HR Team with other HR functions

Qualifications

HR Generalist Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • 2 – 3 years HR and/or recruiting experience preferred
  • Previous experience with a Talent Acquisition System and/or a HRIS system is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills preferred
  • Team player
  • Professional appearance
  • Position will require occasional travel including some overnight travel
