Responsibilities

As Regional Sales Manager, you will be accountable for managing, advising, and overseeing all business as well as lease and rental sales in your assigned region. You will also be responsible for maintaining a reasonable operating profit while controlling expenses to meet company standards.

 

In order to be successful in this position, you will need to be able to do the follwoing:

  • Cultivate sales and revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain business relationships with vendors, customers, manufactures, and personnel.
  • Assess present and future needs, trends, problems, and profit opportunities.
  • Monitor data, numbers, sales, customer pricing, and quotas within the assigned region.
  • Prospect and identify potential customers.
  • Coordinate with Marketing to develop merchandising strategies and advertising programs.
  • Develop, train, and coach reporting sales representatives on tasks such as selling, customer relations, employee relations, policies, procedures, etc.
  • Create and implement operation plans including budgets, sales, and business plan components.
  • Maintain appropriate communication within and between all departments within the company.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years lease/rental experience or industry equivalent 
  • Management experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of computers and basic software applications.
  • Understanding of business and equipment finance.
  • Existing knowledge or the ability to develop understanding of truck equipment and maintenance values and the ability to learn equipment specifications and engineer products/components to customer needs.
  • Outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills with dedication to building long-term customer and vendor relations.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Desire to set and attain goals while conducting business honestly and with integrity.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently.
