Responsibilities

Under the direction of the General Manager, the Parts Manager is responsible for managing, advising, and overseeing the Parts Department to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction. The Parts Manager is accountable for maintaining a reasonable operating profit while controlling expenses to meet the company set standards.

  • Build and maintain business relationships with vendors and customers.
  • Delegate and schedule work appropriately throughout the department.
  • Develop, train, and coach employees on tasks such as selling, customer relations, policies, procedures, etc.
  • Resolve errors through troubleshooting as required.
  • Monitor data, numbers, customer pricing, and quotas within the department.
  • Prospect and identify potential customers.
  • Prepare, organize, and conduct annual physical inventory.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain proper processes in conjunction with the Company and manufactures.
  • Ensure department work is performed with efficiency, accuracy, high quality, and following all dealership standards.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • 3 years of related experience preferred
  • Prior management experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
