Responsibilities

As a CIT Trucks Service Shop Foreman, you will be expected to organize, lead, and control the flow of service work through the department while ensuring quality repairs at a fair cost to the customer. You will be responsible for maintaining technician efficiency and productivity goals established by management. Factored into your commission requirements is your ability to ensure departmental compliance with all safety protocol and company policies. Shop Foremen are also responsible for the performance evaluations of the service department on an ongoing basis, reviewing both strengths and weaknesses of all technicians.

Qualifications

  • Comprehension of basic software applications related to diagnostics, engine parameters, and product preference guidelines
  • Initiative to gain sufficient knowledge required to advise customers regarding equipment specifications and engineering of products and components to meet customer needs
  • Dedication to building long-term customer relations with a proven ability to lead and motivate
  • Outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills with a focus on superior customer service
  • Professional attitude and appearance with a strong work ethic
  • Desire to set and attain goals while conducting business honestly and with integrity
  • Agricultural or mechanical backgrounds have been proven beneficial
  • High school diploma or equivalent and minimum 3 years’ experience in retail service industry
